EC3™ Imaging System

Manually controlled system offers operation of the darkroom within easy reach. The light tight darkroom supplies optimum conditions for many imaging applications including chemiluminescence, fluorescence, bioluminescence and colorimetric imaging.

New transilluminator design supplies increased performance and efficiency. Product enhancements include a new electronic ballast and cutting-edge construction!

Transillumination
  • The white light plate folds down for illuminating samples such as coomassie blue stained or silver stained media
  • Operate the white light via the software interface
  • Flip the plate back when not in use
  • To use the transilluminator, slide the transilluminator out on the sliding tray and place samples on the filter surface
  • To fluoresce samples in the 460-470mm range, place the optional Visi-Blue Plate over the transilluminator surface
Chemiluminescent Imaging
  • The Chemi HR, BioChemi HR and OptiChemi HR cameras are cooled CCD cameras recommended for chemiluminescent imaging
  • Photo shows the BioChemi HR camera
  • For chemiluminescent applications, the place the chemi tray on top of the white light plate for placement of blots
  • Adjust the height of the tray to specific, repeatable positions
BioLite MultiSpectral Source (optional)
  • For fluorescent plant and in vivo imaging, place the BioLite tray inside the darkroom
  • The BioLite supplies a direct source using fiber optic bundles and a closed optical path to tightly control the output spectrum for consistent, repeatable measurements with superior signal to noise ratio
  • The kit includes an emission and excitation filter set

VisionWorksLS Image Acquisition and Analysis Software

VisionWorksLS Image Acquisition and Analysis Software can be configured with the system or ordered separately. Check with your local representative for details. This sophisticated package provides comprehensive tools for image capture and analysis of gels, plates and membranes as well as colony counting. Capabilities include:
