Chemiluminescence - overview

Western blotting is a technique in the life science lab for separating proteins based on their molecular weight. Chemiluminescence is the most popular Western blot detection method because of its high level of sensitivity. Our imaging systems offer fast image capture, high sensitivity, and ease of use.

UVP ChemStudio

The next generation of gel and blot imagers.

  • Fully automated system with acquisition and analysis software, VisionWorks®. System can be purchased with touch-screen or non-touch screen.
  • Variety of CCD cameras with deep cooling available with automated fixed lens to allow capture images of the highest quality.
  • Overhead red, green, blue and white EPI LED Illumination with optional NIR, UV, and Xe Arc Lamp.
  • UVP Thin-Line Transilluminator and Ethidium Bromide (EtBr) Filter included with our units.

Fluorescence - Overview

Fluorescence imaging is the visualization of fluorescent dyes or proteins as labels for molecular processes or structures. Analytik Jena offers different gel imaging systems based on your requirements, from simplified Gel Documentation systems to highly advanced automated imaging systems.

UVP GelStudio

The next generation of gel imagers.

  • Fully automated system with acquisition and analysis software, VisionWorks®. System can be purchased with touch-screen or non-touch screen.
  • The imager features a 12-megapixel CMOS camera with an automated zoom lens.
  • Overhead red, green, blue and white EPI LED Illumination with optional UV light.
  • UVP Thin-Line Transilluminator and Ethidium Bromide (EtBr) Filter included with our units.
  • Applications include but are not limited to imaging and documentation of DNA and protein gels, multiple range of excitable stains and dyes, TLC plates, colorimetry, colony plates, and genomic and proteomic applications with larger sample sizes.

UVP Solo Elite

Capture high quality gel images with our all NEW affordable Automated UV Gel Documentation System!

  • Fully automated stand-alone system with 11.6” touchscreen for system control. Acquisition and analysis software, VisionWorks®, included.
  • The imager features a 6.3-megapixel CMOS camera on monochrome or color configuration with an automated lens.
  • Overhead white and blue EPI LED Illumination with UVP UV Elite Transilluminator included.
  • Three-position filter tray with broad band (535nm – 660nm) included which allows several applications without changing filters.
  • Applications include but are not limited to imaging and documentation of fluorescent DNA and protein gels, colorimetric blots, silver stain gels and blots, Coomassie blue, colony plates.
